BUSES

We have had several people coming to us about the overcrowded buses (especially the ones from Ripon to BHS), as there is not enough seats for anyone and lots of people have safety concerns, I have been to Mr Nicholson to discuss this issue and was told that "the school has no control over the buses" as they have a contract with the bus company BUT they do have people checking to see if it is safe. SO IF YOU STILL DO HAVE CONCERNS! please tell your parents and get them to complain DIRECTLY to Eddie Brown or Transdev the more people who do the more it will be solved. also please tell me your responses so i can update that and help out!

The microwaves

You all wanted a microwave and I have been to Mr Nicholson to find out what we can do these are my findings:

  • WE CAN NOT GET ONE why?
  • Because the cafeteria company has a contract with the school meaning we can not have a microwave in their
  • HOWEVER after lots of discussions we have found that their is plans to build a cafeteria just for the sixth form starting just as ive left so year 13S im sorry we are going to miss out but year 12s there is chance for you!

so until then hold on the pot noodles guys!

WELL DONE BHS!

As im sure a lot of you may know last Friday was children in need, and to try and raise money we put on, as it says above the "Boroughbridge lunch time carnival" and it was an amazing success we were selling popcorn, had carnival games on and a good old game of guess the sweets! and in the space of only 1 lunch time BHS raised (drum roll please) 41.00 and thats just from the Boroughbridge lunch time carnival.

it was so popular we ran out of prizes so i would like to give a MAAAASSIVE thanks to the BHS kitchen who donated a hell of a lot of cookies, also would like to thank the prefects who came to help out, Nathan Jordan who (although not a prefect) helped out on a stall at the last minute, our lovely deputy headgirl Rose Priestly who helped me out and of course most of all YOU GUYS! well done all.

it was such a success and great fun i think we should do a bigger and better one soon, thoughts?
